iPhone 15 is coming with incredible specs and unfortunately for Android phones, there’s no catching up now.
So first up, we’ve got a new report from analyst Jeff poo, and he confirmed that the previous rumors about the iPhone 15 design. He advises that the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max are going to come with the titanium frame. He advises that they’re going to have solid state volume and power buttons and that will get an extra two Taptic Engine to create the feel of real buttons.
There was so many sources such as leakers and supply chain analysts giving us the same information. It has to be true.
He also advises that we’re going to be getting a bump in RAM on the Pro models. And this means that the iPhone 15 Pro and the 15 Pro Max are going to come up with eight gigabytes of DDR5x Ram.
Next up we’ve got news from reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo that Apple has placed orders with display supplier BOE to produce displays for the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus. This order is also going to make BOE the largest iPhone display provider by 2020 form. Now this makes sense as we had previous news of Apple trying to reduce the price of the non Pro models and further differentiate from the Pro models. And switching to BOE as the main supplier for the displays is no doubt going to save a lot of money in the production cost.
Next up, we have news that mass production has started for Apple’s next generation three nanometer chips, and this is of course going to be for the M2 Pro, the M2 Max and the A17 bionic for the iPhone 15 Pro models.
A new report from DigiTimes stated thatl Apple have placed the orders for the three nanometer chips. It appears that their competition may not be doing the same. Their main competitors are Qualcomm and MediaTek. And they’re currently deciding on whether to adopt the latest process will continue using four nanometer chips for the next generation due to the high costs of components. This is very surprising news. And given that Apple’s A16 is already way ahead of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in terms of synthetic performance, this is going to make the gap even larger.
Samsung have now adopted Qualcomm’s chips for all versions of their S series. So Qualcomm may be under pressure to go with a three nanometer chip. What I’ll update as we hear more, but overall, the iPhone 15 is shaping up to be an exciting release. Well, the design remains pretty similar to the previous generations that we’re getting an impressive new chip, camera upgrades, including the first Periscope zoom camera on an iPhone, and we also get the new solid state buttons. No of course is any more information comes in, I’ll be sharing it straight away.
