It is now confirmed that Motorola will officially introduce the X40 series on December 15. The majority of the specifications, as well as the device’s design, have already been revealed online. In addition to confirming some features, it has now appeared on Geekbench, revealing the performance.
Before that, this phone will compete with the Xiaomi 13 series in terms of performance and other factors. Because the specifications of the two phones are practically identical, it will be fascinating to witness this comparison in the future.
The Motorola phone has been listed in the Geekbench 5 database. According to the listing, the phone is powered by the recently released Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which has an octa-core processor with a prime core running at 3.19GHz, four other cores clocked at 2.80GHz, and three cores running at 2.02GHz.
Considering these clock speeds, it is obvious that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is being used in its stock configuration without any overclocking or underclocking modifications.
Let me tell you that I am very interested in the design of the Moto X40 because the phone has a 6.67″ all four sides curve display, and I am a fan of curve displays, so I would want to see this phone in its full glory in person.
And one thing I noticed is that the event invite images show one phone with a center-punch-hole cutout and the other phone without a selfie camera, which makes me think that the selfie shooter may be located under the screen. It’s just a guess, but we never know when Motorola may surprise us.
Moving to the back, the Moto X40 will have triple camera sensors, with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP secondary sensor, and a 12MP tertiary sensor. This is to compete with the Xiaomi 13, the phone should have a wonderful camera. For selfies and video calls, the front may include at least a 32MP camera. The Motorola Moto X40’s sensor details are unknown, but we will know more about them at the device’s launch.
But I do know that there is a 4,450mAh battery with 68W fast charging support to power all of these features. Motorola is anticipated to introduce the Moto X40 to the global market, but as the Moto Edge 40 series. It now remains to be seen whether the Moto Edge 40 will launch globally in 2023 or around the same time when the Edge 30 smartphone was announced. So what do you think about this Moto X40 let me know in the comment section below
