There’s speculation that Apple is developing a top-tier, high-priced iPhone.

It’s possible that Apple is working on an incredibly powerful iPhone for release in 2024. It might be significantly more than the starting price of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which is $1,099.

The numbers reveal that people would prefer to spend more money on a premium model than settle for a basic one.

Apple plans to release iPhone 16 Ultra in 2024

After only two years on the market, Apple has discontinued the iPhone Mini. Even though it was reasonably priced, the Mini was not a commercial success. Similarly, Apple is rumored to have stopped ordering parts for the iPhone 14 Plus, despite it being the largest non-Pro model Apple has ever built.

Meanwhile, demand is high for Apple’s more expensive iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. Problems in production and distribution have caused a shortage.

According to rumors, Apple is considering adding a fifth iPhone model to its lineup among the standard, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max. This model would be called the Ultra. This product may be available as soon as 2024 if Apple decides to go ahead with a launch.

CEO Tim Cook purportedly signaled to investors that a more expensive iPhone model is on the way by saying that buyers are willing to spend more for the greatest possible iPhone model.

An iPhone 15 Ultra wouldn’t be unexpected, given that Apple already labels its top-tier Apple Watches and CPUs as Ultra. Interestingly, Gurman seems to imply that the top-tier 2024 model will be priced higher than the two Pro variants.

What features this model will have to offer to make up for its hefty price tag is unknown at this time. Probably, it will have a more substantial display, higher-quality cameras, and a more powerful processor.

Gurman has also restated Apple’s lack of interest in releasing a foldable iPhone in the near future. Instead, the company is looking into making foldable laptops.
