Samsung’s new Galaxy S23 lineup, announced last week, is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors. However, the newest speculations suggest that the Korean manufacturer is still hard at work on its own Exynos platform for the flagship devices.

Ice Universe, a reliable source of Samsung product information, has confirmed the development of an Exynos 2400. The chipset’s central processing unit will feature 10 cores, including 1x Cortex-X4, 2x Cortex-A720, 3x Cortex-A720, and 4x Cortex-520, marking a significant upgrade from the previous octa-core architecture.

Since the birth of foldables, which typically debut in the summer, Qualcomm chipsets have powered every single one of them. Since the Exynos 2100 for the S21 series and the Exynos 2200 for the S22 series both debuted in 2021, it seems logical to expect the Exynos 2400 for the Galaxy S24 series to appear in the following year.
