Getting too many phone calls from spammers and telemarketers and want to block them? If you’re getting unwanted calls on your iPhone here is how to stop them from bothering you.
First, we’ll talk about the iPhone’s built-in call-blocking feature that is silence unknown callers. Your iPhone must have iOS 13 Or later. Go to Settings on your iPhone, scroll and tap on phone. Tap on silence unknown callers and turn the toggle on for the option.
When you enable this feature, it automatically silences calls from numbers not saved in your contact. They can still leave a voicemail, and the calls will appear in your recent calls list. You’ll only get notifications for calls from people in your contacts, recent outgoing calls and Siri suggestions.
You can use any third-party app to block spam and robo calls on your iPhone. You can use Truecaller app. Once you download the app and continue setup the app, go to settings for call blocking and identification. Here turn on all the switches for true caller. Now true caller will block calls from top spammers and identify other suspected spam and scams.
You can also block each number manually on your iPhone. To do so open the recent call list. Locate the caller you want to block then tap the icon next to it. Now scroll to the bottom and tap on lock this caller.
